What kind of behavior management style do you use at Bright Future?
Bright Future works to offer first class service to its clients. Following are some of our distinguishing characteristics:
Inviting environment: Bright Future offers a home environment rather than an institutional environment for young students. Bright Future's facilities are located in a custom designed walkout basement in a home at Wright Farms. The classroom has been especially designed to meet the standards set forth by State Licensing and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Small Class Sizes: Bright Future takes a maximum of twelve students for each class. Your child will attend school with the same group of children each day, so a sense of community develops among the students and their parents.
Well-Trained Staff: Shannon Avila, Bright Future Preschool's Owner and Teacher has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, with over 15 years of teaching experience. While she was going to school to earn her teaching Degree Shannon worked as a Teacher at Auraria Child Care Center. Angela Mittlestadt has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and also has over 15 years of teaching experience. She has worked for corporate and private schools, as well as having an in-home child care and homeschooling her twin daughters.
Communication: Bright Future strives to provide detailed information about your child's learning program so you can be involved in your child's learning process. Parents receive monthly newsletters and activity calendars. In addition, this Web site offers information updates about the preschool.
High Quality Standards: Bright Future is committed to exceeding state licensing standards and meets the highest standards in early childhood education as set forth by National Accreditation Agencies.
Yes! Every year we offer several family trips that compliment our learning program at school. In addition, we regularly invite special speakers to come to our classes. Finally, we host family parties during the holidays and for our year end graduation ceremony.
Bright Future does not require that children be potty trained to attend preschool classes. We have had many academically gifted students who have not yet been potty trained.
We welcome parent volunteers in our classes! Please contact us to set up your volunteer schedule at our school.
Bright Future is run specifically as a school and does not offer full-day childcare. Most families who send their child to Bright Future have a stay-at-home parent or a parent who works from home.
Yes. Please refer to the Parent Handbook to learn more about our sick policy. Because our students always have contact with the same group of twelve children, we can limit and contain infections if parents take responsibility for ensuring the health of their children.
Bright Future uses the Love and Logic method for behavior management. It is a positive discipline approach and turns child misbehavior into learning opportunities. To learn more about Love and Logic, please visit www.loveandlogic.com.
